Starting October 6, 2008, new software will be available for your chumby. To access the latest software, please reboot your chumby.

To check if your chumby is using the new software, squeeze the top of your chumby to open the control panel. You should see "2.8.9" on the top right hand corner of your main control panel screen. If you see any other number, reboot your chumby and look for "2.8.9" again.


Pandora Radio

Summary: Pandora is a new music source that's now available on your chumby. It's an internet radio service that plays only the music you like. You tell it what songs or artists you enjoy and Pandora responds by playing selections that are musically similar. You can provide feedback on individual songs or artists to further refine the playlist to suit your taste.


To Access: Squeeze the top of your chumby to open the control panel and tap Music. Select Pandora Radio from the music list and tap the Go To button.

Pandora Radio as an alarm source

Summary: Wake up to your favorite music—Pandora Radio is also available as an alarm source.

To Access: Squeeze the top of your chumby to open the control panel and tap Alarms > Custom Alarm. Create a new alarm and when you get to the Set Audio screen, select Pandora Radio from the list and then tap Next to finish setting up the custom alarm.

new volume slider

Summary: In response to users' requests, we've added a volume slider to the main control panel screen. Now you can change your chumby's volume without having to tap multiple buttons—just squeeze the top of the chumby and the volume slider is right there on the main control panel.
